Gluten Free Cornbread

Oh my wordddddd cornbread. Words cannot describe the absolute love that fills my soul when cornbread is brought to the table. IT IS THE BEST!

This is my grandmothers old fashioned cornbread recipe that we’ve adapted to gluten-free and tweaked over the years. She added a secret ingredient that still from this day is what I believe is the key to fabulous cornbread. Sweet potatoes.

That’s right sweet potatoes are hiding in this recipe! It add moistness and extra healthy sweetness your tastebuds will be in heaven for.

Gluten Free Cornbread

Is cornbread gluten-free?

Sadly traditional cornbread is not gluten-free! But this recipe is! Unless someone specifically tells you the cornbread is gluten-free and made with gluten-free flours. Hard pass.

No worries though! You can make this cornbread recipe and bring to the next potluck. Even your non-gluten-free family and friends will not be able to tell a difference!

How to Make Gluten Free Cornbread

Making cornbread is actually EXTREMELY easy. Traditional cornbread uses wheat containing flour. Remember that is one of the ingredients we discuss to avoid when going on a gluten-free diet. If you are new to the diet or need a refresher be sure to check out our post.

Instead of using the traditional flour our recipe uses a gluten-free flour blend that we link in the recipe card. This is our absolute favorite gluten-free flour blend that works FABULOUS for gluten-free cakes, cookies, biscuits and so much more.
